About Us

Forged in South Africa. Built for the World.

M&R Stainless Steel was born from a simple but powerful idea: that South Africa’s rich mineral resources should create more than raw exports — they should create world-class products that empower homes and industries right here at home.

Established in 2024, M&R Stainless Steel aims to create opportunities and jobs through local manufacturing.

Our Journey

Our roots go deeper than stainless steel. Through Lilitha Minerals & Resources, our parent company, we have over a decade of experience in metallurgy — supplying alloys, ores, and reductants to foundries and smelters. Out of this expertise, M&R Stainless Steel was created to transform local raw materials into beautifully crafted, durable products for both homes and industries.

What We Do

Today, M&R Stainless Steel stands at the intersection of craftsmanship and innovation:

  • Homeware Collection – Elegant kitchenware, bathroom finishes, furniture, office accessories, and gifting items that bring timeless design and durability into everyday life.
  • Wholesale Collection – High-performance stainless steel products for catering, medical, safety and security, and infrastructure sectors.

Our Cape Town factory manufactures many of these products locally, supported by our in-house engineering and design office. This combination allows us to deliver quality that competes globally — while remaining proudly South African.

Why We Exist

At M&R, we believe stainless steel is more than a material — it’s a promise:

  • Craftsmanship: Precision-made, built to last, and designed to impress.
  • Proudly Local: From mineral to masterpiece, every product keeps value in South Africa.
  • Innovation: Blending metallurgical science with design thinking.
  • Empowerment: Driving job creation and industrial transformation.
  • Sustainability: Durable products that respect resources and reduce waste.

Our Promise

When you choose M&R Stainless Steel — whether it’s a pot set for your kitchen or equipment for your business — you’re choosing more than quality. You’re joining a movement that proves South Africans can create for themselves, and for the world.
